Group Trips with Frontier
A group trip with Frontier is an excellent way to enjoy a rewarding and meaningful placement with your friends, students, colleagues or society members.
With over 25 years of experience in organising group adventure and volunteering placements, Frontier can offer an experience like no other in terms of variety, sustainability and support. We have worked with a huge variety of organisations including:
- School and college groups
- Scouting and guiding groups
- Sports teams and associations
- Interest clubs and organisations
- Work colleagues and corporate responsibility groups
These groups have taken part in off-the-shelf or tailor-made Frontier experiences from as little as one week to as long as six months. Some of the experiences these groups have taken part in include:
- Costa Rica wildlife and climate change expedition
- Dominican Republic community coffee plantation supporter and teaching experience
- Tenerife ethical whale and dolphin watching program
- Fiji sports coaching and tournament organisation
- Belize manatee and reef awareness expedition
We are able to offer a group placement on one of our standard Frontier projects with a group discount, or we are able to offer a tailor-made experience to meet whatever your specific requirements are. One or more Frontier staff can also be assigned as your group's personal in-country coordinator if required.
The Dominican Republic trip for Heathfield Community School is an example of just one of the tailor-made trips Frontier has organised. After a fund-raising initative by the school to provide funds for a community coffee plantation in the Dominican Republic, the school approached Frontier to organise an overseas trip to the Republic. Liaising with the community plantation as well as our contacts within the Republic, we organised a two-week placement for twenty students and two teachers, accompanied by two Frontier staff. This group experienced the benefits their fund-raising efforts had brought to the community coffee plantation initiative, took part in teaching and childcare activities, and experienced a range of organised sight-seeing outings. Frontier later produced a video to document the trip:
As another example, Frontier recently hosted a group of 12 girls from Girl Guiding North West on our Belize Marine Conservation project. The girls took part in a range of activities including marine and mangrove surveying as well as teaching and community outreach. See our interview video below!
