WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?
You can reach the city of Lyon by flying into Lyon Saint Exupery or by train into Gare de la Part-Dieu or one of Lyon’s other train stations. From here you will be able to transfer by taxi or public transport to your accommodation.
The language school offers a pick-up service from Lyon Saint Exupery airport for an additional €100 or from a Lyon train station for €50. They are more than happy to organise the drop off at the airport or train station at the end of your programme for the same prices.
WHERE WILL I BE STAYING?
During your course you will be staying in homestay accommodation with a recommended local family. You will have your own room, access to the kitchen, bathroom, WC, Wi-Fi and will be provided with two meals a day. This is a great way for you to immerse yourself into the culture and lifestyle of a typical French family.
There is also the option to upgrade your accommodation to the student accommodation where you would have your own room with either a private or a shared bathroom. Laundry facilities would be available to you and you would have full use of a kitchen. If you would like to upgrade, please speak to one of the volunteer advisors about this.
WHAT WILL I BE EATING?
If you choose the homestay accommodation you will have breakfast and dinner included. This half board option allows you to practice French during dinner and also allows you to discover more of the French culture within a family setting.
